Renamed files sometimes lost in diff view in local changes #2540
Description
This screen recording illustrates the problem (or possibly 2 problems) related to displaying diffs of renamed files. Sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes not. I haven't figured out if there is any pattern to the failures. Here we see the first and third files working, and then the third failing in a different way. But earlier I saw only the first succeed in displaying correctly. I do not see any evidence of the underlying files being damaged—it seems to only be a problem with display of the diff.
