[Bug]: Cursor drift during keyboard navigation and backspace

Describe the bug

Keyboard input has delay or mixed commands when typing at quick, but normal speed. Also phantom deletion of characters while typing. This occurred when typing "I went to school and ate" approximately 45 WPM:

Cursor jump when holding backspace to clear text:

Backspace cursor jump will occur back to back and it is the second letter being removed while holding backspace.

No screenshot of the following due to inconsistent results. When typing and navigating, the cursor will drift toward the left mid typing.

To reproduce

1. Go to "New Snippet"
2. Click on snippet text body
3. Type text as normal.
4. Hold backspace, see the first character be deleted and then see the next character to be deleted move to the right of the cursor.
